Ezequiel Zylberberg

Ezequiel Zylberberg is a Research Affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Industrial Performance Center, where he collaborates on various research projects, including the SENAI-funded Accelerating Innovation in Brazil project. Ezequiel earned his DPhil in Management Studies from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School as a member of Green Templeton College.

His research interests include global value chains (GVCs), industrial and innovation policy, and R&D management. Specifically, he is interested in how developing and emerging economies engage with global industries, how corporate strategy shapes industrial and innovation policy outcomes, and how research and technology organizations (RTOs) aggregate and broker knowledge in national systems of innovation.

Prior to and during his time at the University of Oxford, Ezequiel worked as a consultant on a number of economic development projects in the United States, Brazil, Vietnam, and South Africa on behalf of various organizations, including the World Bank, the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC), and Benchmarking & Manufacturing Analysts (BMA), among others.

He holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Anthropology, Religious Studies and Latin American Studies from the University of Florida.
